| Maurice specialises in employee representative training covering all aspects of the role with particular emphasis on the interpersonal skills required for meaningful consultation and effective negotiation. Having been an employee representative himself during his varied technical and training career in industry, for many years Maurice was the Learning and Development Officer for the largest finance sector trade union in Europe. He has developed a huge range of training events, including office health and safety knowledge and skills for representatives, members and union staff. His pragmatic approach to training has resulted in thousands of highly effective representatives with hundreds of organisations, all well suited to to-day's modern employee relations environment. He is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development. |

| John started his career in research at Guy's Hospital Medical School and was heavily involved there in the education of medical students. Since then he has largely worked in and around the NHS, sometimes for himself (he had five productive years as an independent consultant) and sometimes in organisations (John played a central role in establishing the Commission for Health Improvement). A common theme in much of his work has been the empowerment of those with whom he works. John is a trusted and collaborative individual with extensive managerial and strategic public sector experience. He is politically astute and has a reputation for attaining results in demanding environments. John obtained a BSc in Behavioural Science from Aston Management School and an MSC from the London School of Economics. |

| Tony is a registered nurse with over 30 years of health care experience. He has held a range of senior NHS management roles with extensive strategic, project management, operational and clinical experience, working with primary and secondary care NHS trusts. He has also worked for the Commission for Health Improvement and the Healthcare Commission working in conjunction with various stakeholders including NHS trusts, service users, strategic health authorities and Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Prisons (HMIP). Tony's current roles include working with a Primary Care Trust and as a Board member for Humberside Probation service. With a proven record of achievements, Tony is a forward thinking manager who works effectively at all levels within organisations and with key partners, leading, motivating, supporting and influencing others to work collaboratively together. Tony holds an MBA, is a PRINCE 2 practitioner and a Registered General Nurse (RGN). |

| Paul Hitchcock has been involved in people and organisation development since 1988 and has been active in developing the UK wide workplace partnership agenda since 2000. He has been involved in all aspects of the TUC sponsored partnership agenda including close liaison with senior trade union officers, top level managers in both the private and public sectors and representatives of government. He undertook a DTI funded partnership needs analysis in Barclays where a partnership agreement had just been signed with its union Unifi (now part of the finance sector of Unite) and went on to support the organisation through seven years of partnership development. He also facilitated the development of the Scottish Partnership Forum for NHS Scotland. More recently he has been working with the Scottish Qualifications Authority in the development of its partnership agreement with its trade unions. This has taken the partnership process further by developing a set of partnership behavioural competencies as well as reviewing and enhancing the remit of the partnership relationship. Alongside his partnership work, Paul is primarily involved in leadership development and the facilitation of strategy development initiatives in private, public and trade union sectors. He holds a Master Practitioner Certificate in Neuro-Linguistic Programming. |

| Edward is a former HR Director with 20 years experience and has been involved in Partnership Development since 2000. He has held senior roles in both the Public and Private sector and has extensive experience in the area of employee relations and major organisational change, particularly within the NHS, Higher Education and NGOs. Through this work, Edward has gained a particular insight on the relationship between Government and service delivery within the Public Sector. As well as his work on Partnership, Edward’s other area of interest is Turnaround and the development of a range of measures to obtain a better understanding of the causes and indicators of organisational failure, giving better early-warning to companies in order that they can take preventive action. As part of this work, he has been involved in a number of major turnaround projects over the last five years and is convinced that successful long-term change can be enhanced through constructive relationships with employee representatives. He received his MBA from Glasgow University and is currently involved in writing a series of books on the causes of organisational failure and development of operational capability. |

| David has extensive experience of education and training beginning his career teaching 16 to 19 year old vocational students in the Further Education sector. Later David worked with health professional undergraduates at the University of Hertfordshire as a Senior Lecturer in Social Policy. David has also had experience of distance learning working for a number of years as a tutor with the Open University. In the last few years he has worked in the health regulation sector and the NHS as a senior manager developing bespoke training programmes and distance learning materials as well as delivering governance workshops to senior staff groups and board members. He holds a BA (Hons) in Social Science, an MA in Social Policy & Administration and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. |

He pioneered the use of computer technology for colour slide production, becoming the first company to develop this area of expertise. Through his relationship and marketing abilities, Goff has developed and led a leading technology based company, with an excellent creative reputation. Goff's many clients include Allied Domecq, The RAC, Nutricia, Kodak, Barclays, Erickson, Thales, Westland Helicopters and The National Osteoporosis Society. He worked on a European basis with clients and was responsible for the design/production and implementation of Allied Domecq's European award winning Y2K brochure and new media material. |

| Justin Wise is a facilitator, trainer, educator and executive coach with extensive experience in the UK and internationally. He works with senior leaders of both public sector and multi-national corporations, helping them to develop their capacity to lead and engage employees with integrity and commitment. He holds an MSc in People and Organisation Development from the Roffey Park Institute / University of Sussex, and postgraduate degrees from Cambridge University and University College London. |
